There are many potential surgical options to treat problems of the knee. At Fitzpatrick Referrals, we are equipped to perform tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO), tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA), TightRope™ and standard extra-capsular repairs. We have a wealth of experience in this area, and have published our results for the largest case series of TPLO operated worldwide. We also have experience of minimally-invasive techniques and offer arthroscopic-assisted cruciate ligament surgery in dogs.

Treatment of knee alignment problems including patellar luxation (a.k.a. dislocating kneecap) and complex angular deformities is also routine at Fitzpatrick Referrals.

Total and partial knee joint replacement surgery has been pioneered at Fitzpatrick Referrals. We offer standard total knee replacement and custom-built knee replacement surgery in dogs and cats with end-stage knee problems that could only otherwise be treated by limb amputation.
