Our Siemens Emotion 6 slice CT Scanner provides images of superlative clarity in extremely short scan times, allowing us to simply use sedation rather than general anaesthesia, which is important in trauma cases.

This multidetector scanner has the capability for high resolution imaging of the thorax, abdomen, pelvis, head, bones and joints with CT angiographic studies and has revolutionised our ability to view fractures, complex joint disorders, limb deformities and bone-invading cancers for example, all in three dimensions.

These advanced imaging modalities enable more accurate and timely diagnosis of both routine and potentially life-threatening conditions, including tumours.

This in turn enables rapid, efficient medical and surgical intervention with clear benefits for patients and clients.

The scans are complemented by detailed imaging reports which are created and sent electronically by Vet CT and MR Specialists Ltd, a teleradiology company headed by Victoria Johnson BVSc DVR DipECVDI MRCVS. Victoria is an RCVS and European Veterinary Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging.
