Noel Fitzpatrick will be the first vet ever to have been invited to appear as a keynote speaker at the Annual Joint UK Radiological Congress at the Central Convention Centre in Manchester in June, the largest medical imaging event in the UK. The event, which is organised by The British Institute of Radiology, The College of Radiographers and The Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine runs from 25 – 27 June and is aimed at all imaging professionals, from both medical and veterinary backgrounds. Andy Law, our senior surgical intern, is coming to the end of his yearlong internship here at Fitzpatrick Referrals! Andy has been a tremendous asset to the team; and the staff, clients and patients will all be sad to see him move on . Andy will be leaving us to take a rotating internship position at the University of Mississippi Vet School (http://www.cvm.msstate.edu/); a position which provides Andy with a stepping stone towards his dream of specialising in small animal surgery. We wish you the best of luck with all you future endeavours - keep on saving lives!

The first Canine Rehabilitation Institute Certificate Course to be held in the UK took place this weekend at Fitzpatrick Referrals. The course is aimed at vets and veterinary physiotherapists and the first module, Canine Sports Medicine, which ran over three consecutive days was fully subscribed.   The module was delivered by M. Christine Zink, DVM, PhD, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation - a recognised leader in this field and each day was a mixture of interesting presentations supported by excellent images and practical demonstrations....
